Tyne Mitchell

PRESIDENT

Hi, I’m Tyne—a 5th-year Forensic Chemistry student and the President of IVNVI. I’m passionate about building community, creating engaging events, and making science fun and accessible. Outside of class, you’ll usually find me crocheting custom plushies or running around looking for my next coffee fix. I’m always excited to meet new people, so don’t be shy—come say hi!

Ximena Castillo Ramirez

SECRETARY

Hello everyone! My name is Ximena Castillo Ramirez, and I am so excited to be this year’s IVNVI Secretary! I’m a third-year international student from Mexico doing a Forensic Anthropology Specialist and Biology Minor. As your Secretary, I aspire to be work transparently and diligently to connect the IVNVI Executives to all members and faculty! One fun fact about me is that I have hyper mobile elbows!

Hillary Moon

VICE PRESIDENT

Hi Forensics people! I’m Hillary, VP for our IVNVI Forensic Society. I’m in my third year, specializing in forensic chemistry. Fun fact about me is I’ve been part of the IVNVI team since my first year. And I’m so excited for all the events we will be offering this year!! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the program or the society. I would love to help you to succeed in this school and continue your passion for forensics. Say hi if you pass by me :) Let’s have another wonderful year together.

Charleson Cao

TREASURER

Hi! My name is Charleson and I am the treasurer of IVNVI for 25/26 year. I am currently in my third year specializing in Forensic Biology. My passion for forensic science actually began from an anime called “Case Closed”. I was extremely intrigued by the crime solving process and how the characters can uncover so much from such little evidence. I’m excited to meet everybody at our events this school year! Don’t hesitate to reach out to me! I am always happy to answer questions or chat.

Brandon Jasztrab

YEAR REPRESENTATIVE CHAIR

Hello everyone! I’m Brandon and in forensics, details matter—so here’s a bit about me: I’m a second-year Biology Specialist with a Forensic Science minor, hoping to switch into the Forensic Biology Specialist next year. I helped organize IVNVI events last year and can’t wait to be your Year Rep Chair this year! Before UTM, I organized events at St. George and loved getting people involved. I’m into true crime docs, music, talking to strangers, and running trails around campus. Fun fact: I used to compete in ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance, and choreographed for a UTSG team. I want to get as many people attending and involved in IVNVI as possible—so if you have any ideas, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I love talking and am always up for a chat, so feel free to say hi anytime!

Caroline Yuan

PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

Hello forensic enthusiasts! My name is Caroline, and I am in my third year specializing in Forensic Psychology. I am beyond thrilled to be joining the IVNVI exec team as one of your Public Relations Officers for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year! As someone who became fascinated with forensics through a healthcare and biomedical competition in high school, my experiences in this program have been nothing short of an eye-opener. Over the past two years, I have met some of the most amazing people in this community, and I hope that new members and incoming first years will be able to experience the same joy as I did. Please don’t hesitate to reach out– I’m always down for a chat or to answer any questions that you may have (I don’t bite, I promise!). Stay tuned for our events, and I look forward to meeting all of you very soon!

Maggie.heic

Maggie Lee

PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

Hi hi! My name is Maggie and I am a third-year in the Forensic Anthropology Specialist, with an interest in Forensic Pathology. I also have the wonderful opportunity of being one of your two PR Officers for the 2025-26 year! A fun fact about me is that my interest in forensic science stemmed from playing a video game called Ace Attorney, and ever since then I’ve wanted to be involved in the field of forensic science. Aside from that, my hobbies include things such as jigsaw puzzles, reading, and playing video games; I also enjoy making spreadsheets. I enjoy talking to others and getting to know them, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or if you just want to chat! I’m super excited to work with the IVNVI team to make this a super fun year for everyone! :)
